Holiday Closures
|
Well, its that time of year again, and I wanted to post our Holiday Closures. We will be closing at 4pm on December 24th, a two hour early closure. We will also be closed December 29th, 30th, and 31st for year end inventory. Remember, we are now open on Mondays!

New Hours
|
For the first time ever, Living Earth Herbs will be open on Mondays starting November 28th, 2005! Our new operating hours are Monday through Saturday, 10am to 6pm. This will allow us to process and ship online orders faster, be available to take your phone calls on Mondays, and increase availablity and delivery for wholesale orders. Thanks for your business!

Summer Solstice Celebration & Open House - June 18th (Saturday), 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM. Held at Wise Acres Farm in Creswell, Oregon. A fun event that is open to everyone. Admittance is free. Three Day Workshop!

Living Earth Herbs is thrilled to announce a three day workshop with DeAnna Batdorff, founder of dhyana Center. Ms. Batdorff is an Ayurvedic Practitioner and a Clinical Aromatherapist. She has also done extensive studies in estiology, nutrition, herbalogy, childbirth support and has much experience working with autoimmune compromised individuals.
DeAnna lovingly credits her many teachers & life experiences that have guided her on her path. Some of her studies include work with MichaelTierra, Macrcel Lavabre, Dr. Lopsang Rapgay a Tibetan monk who helped create a foundation for in-depth pulse assessment, Swami Niranjanada Paramahansa who provided the opportunity to do clinical work At the Bihar School of Yoga in India & Dr. Lad with whom she became certified as an Ayurvedic practitioner.
DeAnnas vision for Ayurveda is to create a harmony between the traditional Medical philosophies of the East & the desire to thrive within our lifestyles in the West.
Workshop dates are as follows: Saturday, April 16th - free two hour introduction to Ayurvedic Medicine and Aromatherapy Come meet DeAnna and get a feel for the material to be presented in the following days.
Sunday, April 17th - 10am to 4pm Ayurvedic Medicine DeAnna will be talking about the Ayurvedic system of medicine, including pulse and tongue diagnostic tools. This class will cover the Doshas and basic Ayurvedic principles. Preregistration recommended. Cost: $65.00
Monday, April 18th - 10am to 4pm Therapeutic Aromatherapy A wealth of knowledge is to be had at this class! DeAnna knows more about essential oils and their therapeutic benefits than anyone I've ever known. Be sure to bring a big pad of paper and several pens to these lectures, you will need them! Upcoming Classes!

We are pleased to announce the following upcoming classes! All classes are held at Living Earth Herbs.
Sunday, October 17th, 5:30pm - The Energetics of Chi, Presented by Suman Sensei. We will be discussing the importance of Chi in maintaining health, and how blockages can cause illness. Also learn how to unblock Chi energy to promote wellness.
Monday, October 25th, 6:00pm - Current Trends in Childbirth, Presented by homebirth midwives Elise Hansen and Georganne Clark. This lecture will cover several topics, including: Issues facing expectant families, deciding which care provider and place of birth is right for you, and what midwifery has to offer.
Monday, November 1st, 6:30pm - Aromatherapy with Sandi Thompson. Sandi is a licensed aromatherapist and owns Force of Nature Aromatherapy. She will be talking about using essential oils in balancing chakra energy. We will talk about personalized blends right for you!
Sunday, November 7th, 5:30pm - Creative Herbal Remedies for Parents Presented by Julie Gauss of Earth Mama Goods. We will be discussing creative ways to get children to take herbal medicine, what herbs are appropriate for children, and how to care for common illness. This is a three-hour medicine-making class, and you will be able to take home several creations. A fee will be charged--call for details.
