Astragalus Root (Astragalus membranaceous), cross-cut slices. These large pieces of Astragalus are commonly referred to as ‘tongue depressor cut’, due to their resemblance of the tool used at the doctors office. These pieces are great to add to soups and have a lovely yellow color.
